Bio

Tanya Craig serves as an Assistant Professor in the radiation therapy concentration. She brings more than 20 years of clinical experience as a radiation therapist in both hospital and outpatient settings. After a decade of practice in a hospital environment, she transitioned to an outpatient clinic, where she served as the lead radiation therapist.

Mrs. Craig joined VCU in 2021 as an adjunct faculty member, teaching Radiation Safety before joining the faculty full time summer 2026. Throughout her 12 years as a clinical preceptor, she was honored with the Therapist of the Year award on four occasions, recognizing her commitment to clinical excellence and student mentorship.

Mrs. Craig is dedicated to advancing radiation therapy education through innovative instructional strategies and evidence-informed teaching practices. She is committed to fostering student engagement and preparing future radiation therapists for success in clinical practice.
