Brian Overstreet is a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist and a former U.S. Marine whose career has carried him through several corners of the recovery field. He has served as a Peer Recovery Specialist with the Henrico County Community Services Board, the Virginia Department of Veterans Services, and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. His professional interest centers on recovery capital and a whole-health approach to recovery — one that looks beyond simply stopping a behavior to what actually sustains a meaningful life. He is a practitioner of mindfulness meditation.
