Bio

Tyler Patchen [He/Him] joined the VCU College of Health Professions as the senior communications specialist. 

He graduated from Elon University in 2017 with a dual degree in journalism and political science. Tyler’s first job was with the Birmingham Business Journal in Alabama, where he covered multiple subjects including technology and health care. After almost five years with the paper, he wrote for two pharmaceutical and biotech news sites, Endpoints News and BioSpace. He most recently worked as a content writer for Homes.com.

In his free time, he likes to read, hike, swim or discover new restaurants around Richmond.
