Bio

Elizabeth serves as affiliate faculty in the Department of Patient Counseling and as a staff chaplain at VCU Health, where she is the clinical preceptor and liaison for the adult medicine service line. She has completed chaplain residencies at Yale New Haven Hospital and VCU Health, and is a board certified chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains. Prior to her arrival at VCU Health, Elizabeth served congregations in Connecticut and New York, and is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA). A native of Texas, Elizabeth earned a B.A. in Religion with a minor in English from Hendrix College, a Master of Divinity from Union Presbyterian Seminary, and a Master of Science in Patient Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University. In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys vegetarian cooking, being outdoors, strength training, yoga and barre.
