Our team

Kathryn Shaab, PT, DPT, Ph.D., a graduate of the VCU DPT program, is an assistant professor providing instruction in the Rehabilitation I, Rehabilitation II and Neurologic PT courses. Dr. Shaab acts as the PT faculty representative for a variety of VCU Diversity PATHs programs
aimed to increase the diversity of health professions. Dr. Shaab began her career as a high school biology teacher before pursuing her physical therapy degree. Following her matriculation, she worked in various areas of physical therapy across the continuum of care with
a focus in the acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings. With a PhD in Education from Capella University, her research interests include instructional methodologies and advancing student success.
