Originally from Pennsylvania, Natalie attended Virginia Commonwealth University and earned both her BS and MS in Medical Laboratory Sciences. She received her Specialist in Blood Banking (SBB) certification after attending the University of Texas Medical Branch SBB program at Indiana Blood Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Prior to her current role as Immunohematology Instructor, she worked in the Transfusion Services laboratory at VCU Health, in the Immunohematology Reference Lab (IRL) at the American Red Cross, and as Regional Blood Bank Manager for HCA Virginia. She is an active member of several professional societies, including ASCLS and AABB, and has held several board positions in ASCLS-VA. As an active participant in the blood banking community throughout Virginia, Natalie is passionate about advocacy of the profession.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, watching sports, and spending time with her husband, three children, and dog.
