Sung C. Hong, Ph.D. is a Research Associate working with VCoA's Associate Director for Research on several projects at the state and national levels. His research expertise extends to both quantitative and qualitative analyses of data, analyzing a large secondary database and conducting a deductive systematic review for example.  Dr. Hong was born and educated in South Korea, expanding his graduate studies in the United States.  Being trained as an architect (AIA) and planner (AICP), he is interested in the creation and improvement of environments appropriate for older adults.  He has volunteered at ElderHomes Corp., a non-profit organization that provides housing upkeep/rehab and energy assistance for elderly or disabled low-income homeowners in the Richmond area.
