Trisha Sando is an assistant professor and assistant director of clinical education in the Department of Physical Therapy. She is a certified wound specialist through the American Board of Wound Management. Her primary clinical interest is wound care and she sees patients at Retreat Doctors' Hospital in Richmond, VA. She has also practiced in the acute care and critical care settings.

Dr. Sando teaches Applied Microscopic Anatomy for Physical Therapy, Cardiopulmonary Physical Therapy and Clinical Integration. Dr. Sando's research interests center around using epidemiological methods to optimize physical therapy outcomes, specifically pertaining to wound management and patients in the acute care setting.
