Brent has been a part of the VCU community since 2009.  He is the Building & Operations Manager for the College of Health Professions where he provides strategic management of daily operations within the building and oversees and coordinates administrative affairs.

He began his career with the University in Safety & Risk Management as a Fire & Safety Inspector.  He is a Virginia Certified Fire Prevention Inspector, as well as having successfully completed the Va. Fire Marshal Academy in 2016.  He was the department representative to serve in the Clery Act Workshop Group.

In 2017, Brent transitioned over to Residential Life & Housing as a Facility Coordinator where he ensured that all aspects of the student living experience is met with a high regard to safety, cleanliness and quick responses to maintenance issues.  This role was responsible for weekly building walks in over 1 million square feet of Housing, and also maintaining a positive relationship with numerous faculty/staff, outside contractors as well as students. 

After the work week is over, he enjoys going camping and outdoor adventures with his wife and 2 children.
