Maecy Richmond is the Director of Research Administration for the VCU College of Health Professions. She has worked in research administration for 13 years starting as a pre-award specialist at Washington University in St. Louis and growing in research administration ever since. She enjoys the evolving nature of research, and says it keeps it exciting and challenging with every new proposal, policy change, and new researcher she meets. She also enjoys training and teaching administrators and researchers alike on all aspects of research administration. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their 7-year-old daughter, and their two German Shepherd puppies, They are typically camping, hiking or at the beach when the weather is nice or snuggled on the couch with a good book or movie during the cold months.
