Limited Call for One Additional Scholar for VCU Wright Center K12 Mentored Career Development Award
The K12 Mentored Career Development Award at VCU is a two-year award funded and administered by the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) National Center for Advancing Translational Science (NCATS) The K12 Mentored Career Development Award at VCU (previously the KL2) is open to any instructor or assistant professor engaged in clinical or translational research or science. To be eligible, applicants cannot have ever submitted an R01, R34, or equivalent as a PI or MPI, and cannot have a K application under review. Late-stage postdoctoral researchers who are transitioning to faculty positions are eligible to apply with a letter of commitment from the hiring Department Chair. The K12 award provides talented junior faculty investigators with mentored, research-intensive experience in a multidisciplinary setting. It enables the development of future leaders in clinical and translational research. The K12 Award is a 2-3-year award (contingent on satisfactory progress) funded and administered by the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) National Center for Advancing Translational Science (NCATS) and the Wright Center.
