College of Health Professions Commencement Ceremony

**All students are encouraged to attend both the College of Health Professions and VCU Commencement Ceremonies. Information on diploma distribution will be provided at a later time. Diplomas not picked up during the scheduled distribution will be returned to the graduation office. Students whose diplomas have been returned to the graduation office will need to contact that office to schedule a pickup time.

Cultural Achievement Ceremonies: Hosted by the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, these ceremonies provide graduating students who identify as Black/African American, disabled, Indigenous/Native American, Latinx, Asian-American + Pacific Islander, and LGBTQIA+ an opportunity to celebrate their academic achievement in a setting that recognizes and affirms their cultural identity and rewards their hard work and dedication.

Regalia will be available for purchase during the Grad Fair events. The Grad Fair information is provided below:

10 a.m. - 5 p.m. March 12: Barnes and Noble on the MCV Campus

Please keep in mind that you must visit your primary campus Barnes and Noble to purchase your specific regalia.

If you are unable to attend the Grad Fair or visit Barnes & Noble, please order your regalia online at balfour.com/vcu. Shipping charges will apply to all internet orders.

Regalia prices, which include cap, gown, hood and tassel, are as follows: bachelor’s set, $63.94; master’s set, $81.94; Ph.D./Ed.D. set, $120.92; and professional doctorate set, $69.94 (professional doctorate programs include D.P.T., D.D.S., Pharm.D., M.D. and D.N.A.P.). Prices do not include sales tax.

At grad fair, you can:

  • Purchase a class ring: Come see the university ring selections offered by Balfour. Provide updated contact information at Grad Fair and save $35 off your purchase.
  • Order graduation announcements: Official VCU graduation announcements, offered by Balfour. See the complete range of announcements available. Be sure to order early enough to receive in time.
  • Take a graduation portrait: Once you have your cap and gown, have your graduation portrait taken professionally by GradImages with studio-quality lighting. There is no obligation to purchase the portrait. You will receive proofs via email showing various background options. Grad Fair is the best time to have your portrait taken.
  • Select a diploma frame: View a selection of high-quality diploma frames, offered by Framing Success and available at Barnes & Noble or online at www.framingsuccess.com.
  • Make a class gift: Show your Ram pride for the Class of 2024 by making a gift.

Information for Guests

Guest Seating

Tickets are not required; however, standing room for guests will NOT be allowed, all guests must be seated.  Doors will open at 1:30p.m. 

Parking

You may park in the 3rd & Marshall garage, 5th & Marshall garage, or locate any other public parking or street parking.  Arrive early, as parking will be congested due to various ceremonies. A public parking deck is located on the corner of 3rd and Marshall Streets. It is connected to the building via an enclosed skywalk. The following address can be used on your GPS: 351 N 3rd Street, Richmond, VA 23219. Limited street parking is also available. Please use doors at the corner of 5th & Marshall Streets (Exhibit Hall Pavilion; not Ballroom Pavilion) and walk down the 1st floor hallway that runs parallel to 5th St. Staff members and signage will be located throughout the building for assistance. 

Parking in this deck is limited, so guests are encouraged to come early and/or carpool.

Accommodations

ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) seating is available in the Grand Ballroom based on the attached map.  Listed as "ADA".  Please arrive early if you have guests who need ADA seating. An ASL interpreter will also be on location.
